NOTE

1.  The church of Haghios Panteleimon (F5958) is in eastern central Melos. Just to the NNE of this church is a longish valley with an intermittent stream. On the east side of this valley is the upland area of Lagadha/Langhada (F5959). In this general region are located two find spots: C1190 (Sotira) and C1192 (Trypites). C1192 (Trypites) is reported as having been destroyed by quarrying/mining/construction before any investigative work could be undertaken. It is not possible to place either of these sites with any assurance. Renfrew [1982] does not know exactly where they are and gives suggested map coordinates showing that they are at the same longitude and that Trypites is about 100 m. S of Sotira and that they are both about 300 m E of Haghios Panteleimon (F5958) and about 800 m N. The placement shown here tries to follow Renfrew but should be regarded as purely notional.
