1. Acropolis. Simpson [2018], 493 'The monastery hill ... was the acropolis of ancient Olosson.'2. Artifacts. AD[1968], 269
3. Pottery. Simpson [1981], 168 'Mycenaean vases, including a LH IIIB deep bowl, have been found by chance at Elasson, and are presumably from tombs.'
4. Pottery. Simpson [2018], 493 'In the vicinity of the modern Elasson a group of LH IIIB vases was found by chance: a deep bowl, a straight-sided alabastron, a rounded alabastron, a one-handled cup, and three jugs, together with a bronze bracelet. These are probably from a tomb.'
5. Settlement. Simpson [1981], 168 'The Mycenaean settlement was presumably on the same site as the historic Elasson, i.e. the hill of the Panayia monastery on the west side of the modern town ... This is the northernmost Mycenaean site in Thessaly, and may also mark the northern limit of Mycenaean penetration here.'
