1. Activity. Simpson [1981], 129 '...stratified EH, Mycenaean, and Geometric layers were found on the east edge of a clay quarry.'2. Cem. Messenia II, 236 '...quarry has cut into and perhaps largely destroyed a prehistoric cemetery.'
3. Cem. Simpson and Dickinson [1979], 159 '...the only structure found wa an empty slab-cist, probably EH.'
4. hab. Messenia III, 158 'Mr. Papathanasopoulos suggest that this is a habitation site, rather than (as we thought) a cemetery.'
5. Sherds. Messenia II, 236 'The owner states that he retrieved from here and conveyed to the museum in Kalamata the two Mycenaean vases (a pilgrim flask and the bowl of a kylix) which are labeled as originating in Lambaina. Along the N and E edges of the quarry we recovered fragments of sauceboats in pink fabric and Urfirnis, ...'
6. Sherds. Simpson and Dickinson [1979], 159 '...revealed EH II sherds, apparently from slab-cists, and two whole vases.'
7. Sherds. Messenia III, 157 'Three pits were dug to rock on the E side of the clay pit and factory. Pottery was more or less stratified ...'
