NOTE
1. Simpson and Lazenby [1973] 138 is my primary reference for this site. Their source is Laurenzi's Memorie, ii, 51 where L. says that two Mycenaean tombs were discovered at a place 'fra i villaggi di Tolo e Damatria' at a place called 'Acrosciro-Calopetra'. I believe that this site is now lost. As Simpson and Lazenby say, (138, 'Damatria') "...and the directions are in any case insufficient." Georgiadis [2003] 37 did not locate it 'Due to a lack of evidence the sites of ..., Kalopetra ... could not be located.' My marker was simply placed notionally on the road between these two towns Tolo/Theologos and Damatria.
