1.    Chamber Tomb.   Messenia III, 156    '..., what appears to have been a chamber tomb was uncovered and largely destroyed.'
2.    hab.   Simpson [1981], 128    'Sparse Mycenaean surface sherds on the east slopes of the hill indicate that this may also have been the habitation site...'

    a.    Messenia III: 156, 'They (sherds, RHC) are dated LH IIIC by Mr. Papathanasopoulos, although to us they have a somewhat earlier appearance.'

NOTE

1. McDonald and SImpson [1969] 156 are describing both a chamber tomb and a possible settlement in this area by the modern cemetery and just above it.
