1. Marker placed by following Kase [1991], fig. 1-9; see, also, Fig. 3-1 where Vardhates is no. 5. Paul Wallace on p. 47 of Kase [1991] says 'Vardhates is situated at the entrance to the Corridor from the Malian plain, and is connected to the site at Dhema by a gentle valley.' Dhema in this atlas is at C1616.
2. In Simpson [2018] 435 we are told of a built grave between Vardhates and Rakhita (C1633). It contained artifacts datable to LHIIIC Middle and even LH IIIB.
