NOTES

1.  In 'Archaeology in Greece, 1961-62' (Archaeological Reports (8), 1961-62, 31) M.S.F. Hood says: "A new prehistoric site was also found about 2 km. east of the Leonidas monument, alongside the new Lamia-Khamena Voula road which has cut into the site. This, however, cannot be related to any Homeric name."
