NOTES
1. Phoenikiais is a major find site although not for Mycenaean remains. Van Wijngaarden has it as a class 1 site, the fewest Mycenaean finds. See the British Museum site for a number of beautiful jars and vases found in Phoenikiais here. Regrettably I cannot precisely determine what is meant by the toponym 'Phoenikiais'. Van Wijngaarden gives 'Yeri Phoenikias' so perhaps it is the older name for Geri/Ieri/Yeri?
2. van Wijngaarden gives 'Yeri Phoenikias'. My research suggests that 'Phoenikiais' is a previous name for the town of Geri(Ieri/Yeri).
