4. Cem. Renfrew and Wagstaff[1982], 293 'CEM. The area near the church of Agia Phaneromeni, between the east gate of Ancient Melos and modern Trypiti, produced abundant evidence through chance finds, looting, and excavations in 1895-6 that this was a major cemetery of the geometric and archaic periods.'
