The Middle Helladic tumuli on the Tragana ridge (UMME site 14) in relation to the Palace of Nestor at Ano Engliano as surveyed by PRAP. The suggested correlation between the tumuli mapped here and the diagram of the tumuli presented in McDonald and Hope-Simpson 1961: ill. 9, p. 239 (assessed on the basis of topography and the compass bearings given in the latter publication) is as follows:
PRAP tumulus I23 = McDonald and Hope-Simpson n. 4;
I24 = no. 3;
i25 = no. 6;
i26 = no. 1;
I27 = no. 5;
The location of the McDonald and Hope-Simpson tumulus no. 2 is unclear, and it seems that the road from Tragana to Ambelofyto ('Agorelitsa' in McDonald and Hope-Simpson) has changed course.'
