NOTES

1. Use caution. Sacket et al. [1966], 45 clearly say of both the hills around Pilion where Classical and Hellenistic sherds were uncovered: 'Nothing earlier was found.' So the only attestation of any BA site here is the spearhead in the Chalkis Museum which has no precisely defined source (that I can see). For additional: Prosymna, 338 ff. and fig. 510.
