2. The island of Antikythera was explored by the Antikythera Survey Project (Trent University, Canada and University College, London, UK) between 2005 and 2008. Their main internet page is here. They have made extensive datasets of their researches available here. Readers can find text explanations as well as the datasets themselves on that page. I downloaded their pottery data and plotted some hundred or so of their finds that were high-confidence First Palatial data. This showed a presence from that period that covered the entire center of the island. I have placed the marker at a location where such pottery finds were particularly dense but I urge my readers to try this exercise for themselves.
