2. The report of the original excavator, Stephanos A. Xanthoudides, may be found here. Koumasa is described on pp. 49-50. There are several components to this site. There is the necrotapheion at C5328, an extensive settlement from EM and LM periods, roughly around C4114, and a cult building or shrine by F4508. Xanthoudides supposed that the EM settlement lay under the later MM building at C4114.
3. An extended, mostly neopalatial, site with cemetery, dwellings, temples.
