NOTE
1. I (RHC) have combined Åström, who visited the site in 1961, found EH, MH and LH IIIA or B sherds.' [1965] 96 and Giannopoulos [2008] 75 into the following narrative: A Mycenaean cemetery, consisting of chamber tombs, was located 'near the village of Achladia', in fact south of Achouria (mod. Lakka F791). It was known as early as 1854 when tombs at that site were being robbed. In this area road builders discovered a chamber tomb in 1904. It contained rich finds (vases, swords, gems, etc.) which the road builders sold off. This cemetery was investigated by Nerantzoulis in the 1930's but the finds were mixed with those from Chatzi ('..., aber die Funde wurden im Museum von Aigion zusammen mit dem Material aus Chatzi registriert und vermischt.' ) and the only unambiguous find from this area is a spear blade with bent tip. It was investigated again by Kyparissis in 1939 but at that time (late 1930's) it had already been plundered.
