1. Woodward [1929] has this to say about Prostovitsa: "In Achaia two Mycenaean cemeteries have been investigated by Dr. Kyparisses. One near the village of Prostovitza, on the west slopes of Mt. Erymanthus, was much broken up by quarrying, and excavation only discovered a number of chamber tombs wrecked and robbed. One tomb was found untouched, but the chamber, only half-finished, was low and narrow and contained merely one body without any objects. Some finds have been rescued from the hands of the peasants, including a large decorated amphora, a gold-ring, and two sword-blades."

3. The old name of present-day Drosia was 'Prostovitsa'. See this record for the name change.
