NOTES

1. There are two small outcrops in this immediate area. I have chosen the northern one because here the stream does flow on the W side of the rock. This is in accord with Simpson & Lazenby [1973] 145 where they say 'A stream flows past the west side, ...' It flows on the E side of the southern outcrop.

2. Georgiadis [2003] 38 says this: 'At Skala Kretenias ... a site was recognized by the locals as Astraki(a) and not Kastraki, where a single tomb cemetery in use in LH IIIA2 existed ... '
