NOTES

1. Mavriyannaki [1969] 169 says 'nella località Phrygadiès, a 1 1 / 2 km. a nord del villaggio di Vatolakkos - 300 metri a sud della chiesa di Ai Kyr Yannis - in un terreno in pendenza fu trovato un "pithos".' I have placed the mark 1.5 km. N of Vatolakkos and about 300 m. SW of the church of Agios Eutuchios and at the edge of the only sloping country in this immediate area. By the name 'Ai Kyr Yannis' she should mean the church of Kyrios Ioannis. I find no church by that name in this area.

2. An incineration contained in a small vase.
