1. Pendlebury [1965] 262 says: 'Emm. Akoumianos remembers vases decorated with octopuses being found above the village in 1912.' Perhaps (but this is a guess) up on the hill of Katsonichi where a cave is recorded near the church of Aghio Pneuma (F4378).
