1. Pendlebury's [1939] 324 entry says 'Between the sea and the village.' This corresponds to Topoguide's map which places an 'Early Minoan Settlement' here. Sjögren [2016] 117, 'C11. Gournes' says ' ..., c. 1 km northeast of the modern village of Gournes.' The modern village of Gournes lies about 900 m. almost directly S of this spot.
