NOTES

1. Marker was placed following the map in Papadopoulos [1978], 15, fig. 23. Simpson [1981] 98, 'Akarnes' says: 'The location has not been confirmed.' Similarly Giannopoulos [2008] 66 says ' Seit damals hat es aber keine weitere Untersuchung gegeben.' Papadopoulos [1979] 28, '19 Akarnes' adds 'I was not able to find these (sherds, RHC) during my visits to the museum.' From what we know it would be impossible either accurately to locate or to characterize this site if site it is.
