1.    Pottery.   Hankey [1967], 120    'At Qrayeh, ..., 8 km. south-east of Sidon, at a ridge dominating two valleys, imitations of both Cypriote and Mycenaean pottery were found in a tomb used in Middle and Late Bronze.'

1. Marker placed on the town. The town sits on a ridge which does dominate two valleys and, perhaps, this ridge is what Hankey is referring to. Her sources, Bulletin du Musée de Beyrouth, vol. i (1937), 35; ii (1938) 28; iii (1939) 53; and iv (1940) 37 were not available to me.
