NOTE
1. This marker is a place-holder merely and has been positioned, more or less, following Fig. 1 in Simpson and Lazenby [1973], 134. Our authors are firm that the site is S of the ancient Kameiros. See Maiuri and Jacopi, Clara Rhodos, vi-vii. 11. fig. 1 and plate 9 (to which I did not have access at the time of writing) for more. The significance of the site is somewhat questionable. Simpson and Lazenby, 143, say 'Although it is not absolutely certain that any Mycenaean vases in fact came from this cemetery, we give it the benefit of the doubt, ... '
