GENERAL SITE TYPE  Sherds

TYPE

1.    Sherds.   Katsarou and Schilardi [2004], 44    ' ... yielded a plethora of EC II and LBA finds from the hilltop and, in particular, the northern and north-eastern slopes.'

PERIOD (High Chronology)

1. Early Cycladic II: (2700 BC - 2450 BC)
    a.    Katsarou and Schilardi [2004]: 44, ' ... a plethora of EC II and LBA finds ... '

2. Keros-Syros: (2600 BC - 2200 BC)
    a.    Katsarou and Schilardi [2004]: 44, ' ... Sklavouna was inhabited during the Keros-Syros phase ... '

NOTE

1.  Another candidate for the location of Sklavouna is the higher hill just 300 m. to the SW. Neither of these hills quite fits the description in Katsarou and Schilardi [2004] 44 but I have chosen this one as it precisely fits the reported distance of 600 m. from the edge of the bay.
