NOTES

1. The position of Galana Krimna was computed by working from the position of Pyrgos (C6950), which is known. Renfrew [2011] gives the position of Pyrgos as 630, 290. Likewise the position for Galana Krimna given by Renfrew is 610, 290. Renfrew has used positions based on the 1:50,000, AEGEAN Series maps issued by the Geographical Section, General Staff, no. 4468. These were issued in 1944. These maps were not available to me. The reference system is, however, easy to understand. The coordinates are meter offsets from some origin in lon/lat form. For example the position of Galana Krimna relative to Pyrgos (as I said this position is known) is 2000 m. W and at the same latitude. This should be sufficient to give the position of G-K to within 200 m.

2. Page numbers in Renfrew [2011] are, in actuality, location numbers in the electronic edition, ISBN 978-1-78570-773-5.
