NOTES

1.  Leekley and Efstratiou [1980] 100 have this site "3 km northwest of Sitagroi, ... " It is, in fact, almost exactly 3 km directly S of Sitagroi.

2.  This important site was investigated in the late 1960's by Colin Renfrew and Marija Gimbrutas. Volume I of their report (Renfrew et al. [1986]) may be found online here. Volume II (Renfrew and Elster [2003]) may be obtained economically from online sellers. There is a very informative review of Vol. 2 by J. Muhly for the Bryn Mawr Classical Review here.
