2. Simpson and Dickinson [1979] 329, 'Louros Athalassou' say that the site is " ..., not far E of Kastraki and Polichni; ... ". That may be but it is also significantly to the south of those two points (Kastraki [C7155], Polichni [C7156]). The actual location must be in the vicinity of the Panaghia Athalassou (F6341) which would put it to the E of the Gadoura hills.

Using the coordinates in Renfrew [2011] (Kindle location 11436, M.A.P.: C6739) for Zas (885320) and for Louros Athalassou (Kindle location 11385, M.A.P.: C7157) (coordinates: 800277) indicates that LA is 8.5 km W of Spilaio tou Zas and 4.3 km to the S. Beginning at that point the marker is placed 275 m. to the SE (quite at random) in order to bring it into the Athalassou named area. The error radius is set to 300 m. The reader will wish, of course, to treat this selected location with caution.
