TYPE

1.    Settlement.   Hood and Warren [1966], 182    'There was evidently, a small Minoan settlement here.'
2.    Sherds.   Hood and Warren [1966], 183    'Some modern, one possibly Roman, but most Minoan and M.M. III-L.M. I in character.'
3.    Tomb.   Hood and Warren [1966], 182    'We were told of a tile-covered grave, presumably Greco-Roman, found about a half a kilometre to the north-east near the road.'

1. Middle Minoan III: (1750 BC - 1675 BC)

NOTE

1. Hood's parameters are somewhat puzzling. He says (182) "An area about 50 metres square on a bare southward-facing slope of greyish kouskouras rock below a path about 250 metres from the car road and half a kilometre from the sea is covered with worn orange sherds." To this Hood adds a poor photo of the site from a great distance (Plate 38,a). Putting these together suggested this position to me. The south-facing slope requirement puzzled me somewhat but the location selected does, indeed, slope to the south.
