NOTES

1. Simpson [2018] 232 emphasizes: 'But the exact location of the historic Skarpheia remains unknown.'

2. Pascual and Papakonstantinou [2013] 5 give a verbal description of the location of this site as well as the map (Fig. 10). They give the elevation of Prosilia/Protosilia (F7497) as about 340 m asl. It is closer to 200 m.
